Week 34
ROOM 12 POLICE FORCE
Class Update
Our class will be finishing with testing today. This means that tonight is our last night without homework. ENJOY!
The Gold Rush Projects were outstanding! Each child gave excellent speeches and the class learned so much from each other.I will be returning the graded assignments next Monday.
Today our class will be learning about Investigative Questions and Hypotheses. We will go over each component that will be covered covered for the project that is due: Monday, May 19th.. Please let me know if you have any questions! This is an at-home project.
I wanted to take the time to thank David Lee, Taylor's dad, for coming to our class to share about his career as a Policeman in San Jose last Friday. The class loved getting in the car and each received their own police card thanks to Tina Lee. This was a powerful learning experience as David shared some intense encounters on the job.
A special thanks goes out to Denise Russo who shared about Nutrition with our class on Friday, as well. The class enjoyed the fun and loud interactive games they played to learn about health and nutrition. They even had the opportunity to eat some wonderful fruit too!
It is always a treat to have parents come in and share their lives with our students. This provides a wonderful model for our class and opens them up to a variety of career opportunities. PLEASE let me know if you would like to come in and share your job or a skill/craft with our class. It truly takes a village as Hillary frequently quotes.
Please let me know if you would like to find out how your child is progressing in the 3rd trimester. We only have another month to bring up our grades.
Questions/Comments? Let me know.
See you at school,
Mr. Sweet
