WEEK 33

OUR MUSIC TIME TOGETHER ON FRIDAY AFTERNOONS
Weekly Quote
"Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash." ~Leonard Cohen
"Poets are soldiers that liberate words from the steadfast possession of definition." ~Eli Khamarov
Weekly Riddle
A black dog is sleeping in the middle of a black road that has no streetlights and there is no moon. A car coming down the road with its lights off steers around the dog. How did the driver know the dog was there?
Class Update
* This week we will begin testing. Please make sure that your child attends each day of school and gets plenty of sleep with healthy food. This should be the case every day... right?! There will be no homework on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
* Our class is practicing our play these next couple of weeks. There will be two plays: A Series of Unfortunate Events and The Case of the Tell Tale Pickle Bottle.
I plan on having one group perform at the Open House followed by the other play performing the last week of school on the stage.
* We are continuing our study of poetry. This week we will be learning about Cinquains, Onomatopoeia, Alliteration and People Poems.
* Please e-mail me, or come by if you would like to see what your child's grades are at this juncture.
Please check out the Rio Del Mar Online Auction. There are some great deals and fun items to bid on.
