Week 28

Weekly Quotes
"Before I was humiliated I was like a stone that lies in deep mud, and he who is mighty came and in his compassion raised me up and exalted me very high and placed me on the top of the wall...I am imperfect in many things, nevertheless I want my brethren and kinsfolk to know my nature so that they may be able to perceive my soul's desire."
St. Patrick
"Easter says you can put truth in a grave, but it won't stay there." ~Clarence W. Hall
"Eostre is also worshipped by some neopagans, who associate her with various aspects related to the renewal of life: spring, fertility and the hare (allegedly for its rapid and prolific reproduction). Modern worshippers and writers describe Eostre as a "Goddess of dawn" based on the etymological relationship between her name and the Anglo-Saxon word for 'dawn'." Wikepedia
Passover:
“Passover affirms the great truth that liberty is the inalienable right of every human being” Morris Joseph
This week our class is learning about the History of St. Patrick's Day and Patricius himself. Last week we learned about Passover and we will Learn about Eostre and Easter this Thursday. In writing we finished our limericks. Now we are using Garage Band, a music program on Macs, to create our own song to accompany our limericks. This week I will be sending home our Gold Rush Projects. These will be due on Monday, April 21st. Each child has selected their topic that they will be researching. We will be doing some research on the computers in class too. Each project will consist of a 1-page written report followed by a creative project and a speech.
There will be no school this Good Friday.
