Class Update
***Thank you to all of the parents who attended the parent conferences last week. Twenty minutes is a very brief time to discuss your child's progress, so if you have more questions, please let me know.

***This week we will be sharing our WWII projects each day in the morning. On Monday and Tuesday we will practice our speeches together in class. We will get the opportunity to select the day that we present our speeches, which will be from October 24-30th.

***In Social Studies we will be finishing our study of Native Americans. There will be no assessment this chapter. Instead, we will be making a Native American Flipbook in class on one of the tribes that we have studied.

***Our class is in the middle of working on our class newspapers. The editors in each group set a deadline and we will be "going to press" this Friday. These students have edited each article from their paper and are in the process of typing them with columns and pictures.

***This Thursday our class will be going on our field trip to the Register Pajaronian Newspaper in Watsonville at 10:00 a.m. Please remember to have your child bring a lunch this day. I will be sending an e-mail to remind the drivers.
