CLASS UPDATE
This is a special week! Our class will be sharing their well-prepared speeches and fascinating science projects this week. I also wanted to let you know that we will be starting our last huge project. It will be due the last day of school. The 4th graders will be doing a 5-page report and speech on the Rock Cycle and the 5th Graders will do a 10-page report with a speech and creative project on the Properties of Matter.
I am just kidding! Some of you are probably not laughing ;>)

This Thursday OPEN HOUSE will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will end at 8:00 p.m. At 6:45 p.m. I will be showing a Multi-Media Poetry Presentation that the students created using Microsoft Powerpoint and Garage Band.
I hope all of our parents will be able to join us for this special evening.
The 5th grade students will be performing a play for us at 7:15 p.m. that will last about 20 minutes.

This coming Friday, May 25th, our class will be participating in a "Book Trade" Each child that brings in books to trade will receive a ticket to buy somebody else's books. Thus far, we have over 50 books!

Next week some of our 4th grade students will be performing their Gold Rush play. The performance will be on Monday, June 4th at 8:45 a.m. in the cafeteria.

Finally, our 4th and 5th graders are learning about the States and Capitals this week so feel free to quiz them at home if time permits.
