Class Update
Our field trip last Friday was a huge success. Each child was able to learn about school in a one-room schoolhouse, spinning/weaving, gold panning, blacksmithing, printing, pioneer games, square dancing, a first person account from the famous Isaac Graham AND a train ride! Thank you for you helping pay for this memorable trip.
Today we sent home the KOA permission slips. Please send $5 to cover the cost of Togo sandwiches, a lifeguard and admission to the campground facilities. This will be an exciting end-of-the year party WITH a climbing wall provided by Gene Fischer.
This week we will not have much homework on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to finish up our Science Projects. Today each child selected a day to give their speech on. Please remember, there is no written report required. Instead, each child will complete a poster board and a speech.
Today we began writing a Problem/Solution Essay. You may want to discuss the topic with your child to find out what problem in the world they will be solving. Our world certainly needs problem-solvers!
Please remember that you can come by anytime to check your child's progress.
