Bad Mr. Fiend
Old Mr. Tidy was found dead in his study by Mr. Fiend. Mr. Fiend recounted his dismal discovery to the police. "I was walking by Mr. Tidy`s house when I thought I would just pop in for a visit. I noticed his study light was on and I decided to peek in from the outside to see if he was in there. There was frost on the window, so I had to wipe it away to see inside. That is when I saw his body. So I kicked in the front door to confirm my suspicions of foul play. I called the police immediately afterward." The officer immediately arrested Mr. Fiend for the murder of Mr. Tidy. How did he know Mr. Fiend was lying?

Class Update
Well, our testing has come to an end much to the chagrin of my students. I think they truly enjoy free snacks, no homework and fun poetry/art projects. That being said, we still have a few more weeks left of school and the show must go on! Our 4th graders are continuing to learn about the impact of the Transcontinental Railroad while the 5th graders continue with the American Revolution. Our last unit in Science will be the Rock Cycle and Electricity/Magnetism for the 4th Graders and Physical Properties of Matter for 5th Graders.

As a reminder, the Science Projects are due Friday, May 18th. Your child should prepared to give their speech and have their results and poster ready to share. Please let me know if your child lost the directions for the project so I can send them home again.

We will be going on a field trip to Roaring Camp in Felton this Friday, May 11th. Please make sure your child brings their lunch on this trip. We will depart for Roaring Camp promptly at 8:00 a.m. so please show up on time if you are driving. The activities begin at 8:30 a.m.
