Classroom Update
Our 5th grade students had a wonderful field trip to the Monterey Weather Station and learned many new things about weather forecasting. I wanted to thank the parents who drove on this trip. This Monday students in all of the 4th Grades will be going to Mission San Juan Bautista at 9:00 a.m. and returning at 2:00 p.m. Students in 4th grade will be signing up tomorrow for which day they would like to do their Endangered Species Speeches this week.

In other news, I have made decision to change the days for the tests this week. In both 4th/5th grades, we will be taking our Science Test on Thursday and we'll take our Social Studies Test next Monday, February 5th. This will give each grade more time to prepare instead of cramming it in such a short time. I hope this helps everybody...

This week we will continue learning about how to write a Literary Response Essay. We will be working on our final drafts this week in class and I will read aloud a couple exemplary papers. This Friday our class will be having a Spelling Bee. There will be one 4th and one 5th grader to represent our class in the school-wide Spelling Bee.
